Backstroke Start Device with Strap
The Backstroke Start Device (patent pending) is an anti-slip, accelerated start device designed to reduce the potential for slipped starts during critical competitions when every second counts. The Backstroke Start Device contains a 65 x 8cm nonslip wedge with a 10 degree angle off which a swimmer can push, providing much-needed traction when pool walls or touchpads are slippery. The wedge is easily adjustable, allowing swimmers to select their desired location of the wedge on the pool wall. After the swimmers’ start, the wedge automatically retracts back to the housing compartment so as not to interfere with flip turns and touchpad interactions, eliminating the need for manual removal.
